About SHE SHOOTS PODCAST:

SHE SHOOTS is a podcast for women in the shooting community and for those interested in learning more about it. It is hosted by women who shoot, hunt, and instruct and most importantly share a passion for introducing new ladies to the sport.

Coming to you on the second Tuesday of every month, the objective of SHE SHOOTS is to showcase various activities in the shooting sports and highlight the people who participate. We hope this will help you find something you are interested in learning more about and various ways to get involved.

SHE SHOOTS – Episode 1: Girls, Guns and How to Get Started

Join the ladies of the CUSF Women’s program, Project Mapleseed and LadyGuns for this episode of “She Shoots” where we will be talking with Delano Civitarese from Canada First Ammo Corp. Delano has proudly been supporting the firearms community in roles from hunter, instructor, volunteer and now business owner for over 10 years.

During Episode 1 – Girls, Guns and How to Get Started, we will discuss what it takes to get your PAL or your firearms license through the Canadian Firearms Safety Course. A Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) enables a license holder to possess and use firearms in Canada. Will with chat with Delano on everything from taking the course, what to expect when you get there, filling out the paperwork, handling the firearms and learning more about them. If this is something you are interested in, this episode is a must watch.

Guest Speaker: Delano Civitarese

University of Calgary Firearms Association Past President, Canadian Firearms Safety Course Instructor and Owner of Canada First Ammo Corp.

Delano is a jack of all trades, master of non when it comes to the firearms industry. His story all began in 2012, when him and some eager fellas started the University of Calgary Firearms Association. During his tenure of President, he worked for a firearms manufacturer as an engineering intern.

Post graduation, Delano became a certified instructor for the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and is nearing the 5 year mark of instructing, teaching thousands of students in Alberta.

Delano’s most recent venture is in the industry side of things, starting Canada First Ammo Corp, attempting to market Canadian product to our community.

Delano’s love of the sport is centralized in firearms safety, educating others and leaving his phone in the truck and getting out hunting.
